Top 10 Lipsticks (Part 1)

Hey guys, back with a beauty post today! I decided to put together my top 10 lipsticks for you guys. This is part 1, so I’m going to give you 5 today and then I’ll post the last 5 tomorrow. I had never been much into lipsticks or anything, but now I’ve decided that I really enjoy them! I mostly like the nude shades or at least pinky/peachy nudes, which is mostly what you’ll see. I’m going to post swatches of each lipstick and give you my description of them. I’ll also add links so you guys can go get them if you would like! These lipsticks are in no particular order, by the way.

Maybelline Color Whisper in “Petal Rebel”–This is a recent buy, but I have been wearing it like crazy ever since I got it! I love that it’s a simple sheer pink. I wear this under a ton of lip glosses and it just looks beautiful. This is one of those shades I like to wear when I’ve not done much with my makeup and just want to keep things looking natural. And the best part of this lipstick is that it’s from the drugstore so it’s super affordable! You can get this at any drugstore such as Rite Aid, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens, or Walmart. You could also get it at Ulta (here).

This is Urban Decay Cosmetics Revolution Lipstick in “Naked”–This is another one of those natural colors. This is just a pinky nude that can be worn with a natural face of makeup or with a smokey eye. Nude lips go great with a smokey eye! This color is just stunning and it’s so easy and foolproof. You could wear it with pretty much any kind of look! The only downside to this lipstick is that it’s $22, so it’s more on the expensive end, but that’s why I’ve given you my other favorites which are similar options. You can get this at major department stores such as Macy’s and Belk’s. You can also get it at Ulta (here) or Sephora (here).

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in “Nude Creme”–This is another pinky nude shade. It’s lighter than the “Naked” shade from Urban Decay, but more opaque than the Maybelline shade. This is just another one of those perfect simple lip colors. This again can be worn with any makeup look you do. This is a shade where you don’t have to think about it much. If I ever don’t know what I want to wear this is a perfect color to just throw on and look polished and put together. This can be found at some drugstores and also some Kmarts. You can also buy on Milani’s official website (here).

This is MAC Cosmetics “Creme Cup”–This shade is yet another pinky nude.. Have you noticed a pattern yet? 😉 This shade is lighter than Milani’s “Nude Creme” and closer to Maybelline’s “Petal Rebel”. This is just another of those simple and easy colors to wear. This is also a little bit on the pricier side as these lipsticks cost $16. This can be purchased at some Macy’s and Nordstrom’s, or at any MAC counter. This can also be purchased at MAC’s official website (here).

This is MAC Cosmetic’s “Creme d’ Nude”–This is definitely more of a “true” nude color. This is one of those lipsticks that will not really erase your lips, but definitely conceal them a lot more than the pinky nudes I showed previously. I love wearing this color with a dark smokey eye as it definitely allows the focus to be on the eyes. But I always put a lip gloss on over this shade so my lips don’t look completely concealed. You can purchase this shade (here).

Well guys, this is my first part of this post finished! I realize it looks like I wear basically the same colored lipsticks, but my next post will be my darker shades so they will be a lot different. If you’re looking for foolproof and simple shades to wear, then hopefully you found one you’d like to try by reading this! I hope you guys have had a great Sunday! Thanks for checking out this post! Be sure to check back tomorrow for part 2!
