July 2014 Favorites♥

Hey guys, here’s my July favorites! I’m excited to start doing these monthly posts and share with you what I’ve been loving over the course of the month. 🙂 Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of this stuff and whether you love it or hate it!

**First up are my makeup favorites 🙂

First favorite this month is MAC “Cantaloupe” Blush. I raved about this blush in my “Top 5 Blushes” post so I won’t blab about it again, but honestly it is an amazing blush color for summer and I wore it a lot during July.

Next up is my MUFE HD Foundation. I LOVE this foundation so much! It’s been a bit too dark for me until recently to wear it and it’s basically the only foundation I’ve been wearing during July. I use a damp beauty blender (or Real Techniques) sponge to apply it and it looks so natural on my skin. It’s very lightweight & just looks like you aren’t really even wearing foundation (which I personally love)!

I’ve also been loving my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer a lot. I’ve basically loved this concealer ever since I got it several months back, but I used it pretty much everyday of July (that I wore makeup). It just covers so well and I usually get a shade lighter just to highlight my face and it looks great!

My favorite lip combo in July was Maybelline “Petal Rebel” Color Whisper & Buxom “White Russian” Lip Gloss. I love how sheer the color whisper is and just love how light and natural it looks on the lips. The lip gloss on top of it is just the icing on the cake for me.. It’s a beautiful combination.

MAC’s Bronzing Powder in “Golden” has also been a favorite. It doesn’t give off much color, but to me it bronzes up my face just enough to make it look tan and glowy. It’s best for lighter skin tones because now that I’ve gotten a bit tanner, it’s really made it hard to wear and see on my skin. (By the way, the one I got was from a collection so that’s why it looks like that.. But it is a permanent shade so you can still get it, it just has different packaging)

I’ve been loving MAC Eyeshadows in “All That Glitters” and “Brule” as well.. Brule is pretty much always my brow bone highlight shade and when I am rushing out the door I put All That Glitters all over my lid and it just gives off a pretty shimmer and makes it look like I tried with my eye makeup when I really didn’t.

I’ve also been loving Makeup Geek’s Eyeshadow in “Crème Brule.” This shade is PERFECT for the crease and it’s pretty much always the shade I use as well. It’s not too dark, but it’s dark enough that it gives depth to my eyes. & it’s super affordable which is a major plus! 🙂 You need to check all of the Makeup Geek products out because they have tons of different eyeshadow colors and they now have blushes and lots of makeup brushes as well. Their stuff is great quality and a lot cheaper than most makeup brands.

I’ve also been loving MAC Strobe Cream. I’ve read in several different places that this isn’t something you should wear everyday because people say it’s not great for your skin, but I love wearing it when I want a dewy look. I put on my moisturizer and let it sink in for about 10 or 15 minutes and then I add some strobe cream and my face just glows and looks so healthy. This is a great product to have if you have dry skin because with oily skin it would probably just make you look super greasy.

I’ve also been wearing my Maybelline Master Hi-Light in “Deep Bronze” like crazy! I also have a more in-depth review of this in my “Top 5 Blushes” post as well if you want to check it out. This is just a beautiful bronzy, shimmery shade that looks great in the summertime!

I’ve only had this product for about a week, but I already love it and it’s the Benefit Porefessional Primer! I pretty much always skip primer in my beauty routine because mostly I forget about it and just don’t really need it as I don’t have oily skin. I’ve heard so many people raving about this primer though that I just had to try it! I was checking out at Sephora while I was on vacation and the little sample size was sitting by the register so I just went ahead and grabbed it, but I’m loving it so far! I wish it wasn’t so expensive, but it really is a great primer!

I’ve also only had this product for a week, but I’ve been lusting after it for months now. The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in “Moonstone” is absolutely B-E-A-UTIFUL!! This highlight powder is beyond gorgeous and just leaves a beautiful shimmery glow on your cheekbones. It is on the pricey side, but I wanted it for so long that it was definitely worth it to me. (I apparently lost my swatch picture so I just used one I found on Google so you could see how amazing it is)

I also really enjoyed my Batiste Dry Shampoo for dark hair. This is the BEST dry shampoo I have ever tried and I just love it for days I skip washing my hair and it just completely refreshes it. Also, it gives me some volume and texture when I need that for my hair as well. It’s super affordable so that’s a bonus. 🙂

**My “smell good” favorites 🙂

I’ve been loving the Bath and Body Works shower gels in:

“Oahu Coconut Sunset”–A sunny blend of coconut blossoms & exotic tiger lily warmed by molten amber. (Purchase here)

“Hawaii Passionfruit Kiss”–A sexy pairing of exotic passionfruit & papaya blossoms wrapped in creamy macadamia. (Purchase here)

“Maui Hibiscus Beach”–A refreshing mix of star fruit, mango wood & tropical hibiscus. (Purchase here)

These scents got me in the mood for summer and they all smell ahhhmazzzing! You should try them if you haven’t yet!

Coach “Poppy Blossom” Perfume. I am horrible at describing scents, so here’s the description from Sephora:

Notes:
Lychee, Mara Strawberry, Freesia, Mandarin, Muguet, Rose Centifolia, Tuberose Fleur, Jasmine Sambac, Gardenia, Praline, Vanilla, Blonde Woods, Musk.
Style:
Feminine. Sophisticated. Modern.

It smells really good and I’ve been wearing it almost everyday! (Purchase here)

**Here are my random favorites 🙂

Pretty Little Liars–Uh duh, I am obsessed with this show! I mean I do NOT miss an episode and it’s basically the only show I watch religiously besides The Walking Dead 😉 I was so excited when it came back on this summer and it was definitely a favorite for July.

The Fray–More specifically their song “Break Your Plans.” This is definitely my favorite song right now, I love the lyrics and I love the music as well. The Fray is one of my favorite bands anyway, but I just love their mellow music. You should all go listen to this song.. Like right now! 🙂

Luke Bryan–Ok people, I live in Kentucky and I basically despise country music. :O I know.. I’m crazy! I used to like country music back in the day, but now I don’t as much. Buuutttt I am kind of starting to really like Luke Bryan lately. I don’t love all of his songs, but I do enjoy several of them. Let me know what songs of his you think I should check out OR just country songs in general that you love!

Casey Holmes (here) & MakeupByAlli (here) are my favorite YouTube Beauty Gurus. They are both beautiful & very skilled at makeup. They do A LOT of makeup tutorials (which is my favorite thing to watch) so I’ve linked to their channels if you want to check them out!

Well guys, that’s it for my July favorites! Let me know your favorites from the month.. whether it be music, food, tv shows, makeup, fashion, whatever! I would LOVE to see your faves!

    1. Hey girl, it’s my favorite too! I put a link under the picture. I order mine from Ulta or I’m sure they have it in store if you’re close to one! I’m not sure if they sell it anywhere else or not.
